Durchführung: Bearded Vulture
An der Station des Bartgeiers (Bearded Vulture) soll es das Ziel
sein, den SchülerInnen einen Einblick in das richtige Verhalten im Zoo
zu gewähren.
Der Bartgeier gehört zu den Tieren des Frankfurter Zoos, die wieder
ausgewildert werden. Daher bietet sich dieses Tier sehr gut dafür an,
den SchülerInnen ein besonderes Arrangement zu entlocken, zukünftige
Zoobesucher über das tragische Geschehen im Zoo zu informieren.
Nachdem die Kleingruppe genügend Zeit hatte, sich das Tier anzusehen,
beginnt hier die Arbeitsphase. Durch den Reading Pen spricht der
Bartgeier zu den Kindern und erläutert seinen Wunsch nach Publikation.
Dies endet mit der Aufgabe, dass die SchülerInnen eine Liste mit Regeln
erstellen, die ein korrektes Verhalten im Zoo aufzeigen. Diese Aufgabe
wird final in der Kleingruppe bearbeitet, jedoch haben die einzelnen
Gruppenteilnehmer etwas Zeit mit Hilfe einer Mind-Map ihre Gedanken zu
ordnen.
Durch den Reading Pen haben die SchülerInnen die Möglichkeit sich
einzelne Sticker (Anweisungen und Informationen des Bartgeiers) erneut
anzuhören und die wichtigsten Punkte herauszufiltern.
Diese Station wird durch den Sticker „What´s next“ beendet. Hier
bricht die Phase des selbstständigen Lernens auf und die SchülerInnen
wenden sich an ihren Teamleiter, der ihnen ihre nächste Station
ankündigt.

- “Hello
my little Friends. My name is Mr. Empathy and I´m a Bearded Vulture. I
look like a bad guy but I´m actually not. I´ve been here for a little
while now but my time here will soon over. I will be free.”
- “As
you can see on the timeline below my cage, this zoo is famous for the
resettlement of my species. I will be one of the lucky Bearded Vultures
who is allowed to live in freedom again.”
- “But you will ask yourself what does this have to do with the mysterious case. It
is quite simple. Because I will be free and can leave the zoo, I am
able to talk to everyone to publish the story of the zoo. To make
everyone aware what happened.”

- “I
want that everyone gets to know the zoo life. The bad as well as the
good things. I´m sure you can imagine the nice things, but as you know
something bad happened.”
- “And I need your help. I would like to let everyone know, but when I´m gone who will let the zoo visitors know?
This
will be your task now. Please think about how to behave in a zoo, what
are the do’s and don´ts. How should animls be treated in the zoo?”

I am asking you all of these questions. First it is good to make your
brain work. But it is also important to teach people how to respect the
zoo.”

was listening to your ideas and to your results. That sounds pretty
perfect. I am more then proud of you, my little friends, that you know
it much better then most of the others.”
- “Thank you for your help, your guidelines will be published in the zoo for all the other zoo visitors.”
- “And
thank you to help me with me personally aim. Now I can leave this zoo
cheerfully, whitout being worried that something bad could happen
again.”
